EXCLUSIVE: Reminders Of Him star Tyriq Withers is set to star and exec produce the Amazon MGM Studios’ romantic comedy Love Love from writer-director Joey Power. Isable May is also on board to star. Power will direct with RK Films’ Joe Roth and Jeff Kirschenbaum and 3 Arts Entertainments’ Ari Lubet and Jonathan Berry producing. In addition to May, Power and Alyssa Altman will executive produce.
Power and Daniel Sweren-Becker wrote the script, which follows a struggling tennis phenom who falls for a charismatic local ball boy at the US Open. Their unlikely romance just might be the spark she needs to make it to the finals.
The film starts production this fall in New York.
Withers was last seen starring in Universal Pictures’ Reminders of Him, the feature film adaptation of the 2022 Colleen Hoover novel of the same name. Prior to that Withers starred in the supernatural horror feature film, Him from Universal Pictures and Jordan Peele’s Monkeypaw Productions. His performance in the film earned him two nominations at the 2026 57th Annual NAACP Image Awards, in the categories of outstanding actor in a motion picture and outstanding breakthrough performance in a motion picture.” Withers was also one of the leads in Sony’s newest installment of the cultural phenomenon, I Know What You Did Last Summer.
