The Commissioner for Information in Abia, Okey Kanu, says the Nchedo Sexual Assault and Referral Centre recorded seven cases in one month. Mr Kanu disclosed this at the Government House, Umuahia, while briefing reporters on the outcome of Monday’s State Executive Council meeting. He said the cases comprised six sexual violence and one domestic violence, involving five minors, aged between 10 years and 14 years, and two adult women, aged between 25 years and 40 years. The police in Anambra State say they have rescued seven school children and two adults who were trapped by flood along Nibo-Isiagu Road in Awka, the state capital. Tochukwu Ikenga, the police spokesperson in the state, said in a statement on Tuesday that one child was confirmed missing. Earlier on Tuesday, video clips and photographs of a stationary commercial minibus in the area apparently trapped by a flood were circulating on Facebook. Toyota workers are already helping to train humanoid robots as part of the automaker’s race to eventually deploy 400,000 factory robots—but a Toyota executive said the robotic push is not meant to directly replace humans.
