Nigeria’s crude oil and condensate production rose to 1,677,777 barrels per day in August 2026, representing a 0.4 per cent increase from the 1.67 million bpd recorded in July. The increase, though modest, marked another month of improved oil production as the country sustained compliance with its Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries crude oil quota. The Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission disclosed this in a statement issued on Sunday by its Head, Media and Corporate Communications, Eniola Akinkuotu. Police are searching for a person of interest after a series of stabbings in Houma, Louisiana, left at least four people dead and another person in critical condition in hospital.The Terrebonne parish sheriff’s office identified Kaegan Jude Solet, 47, as a person of interest, after deputies were initially called to the Ashland Drive area of Houma and located a juvenile with apparent stab wounds.The victim was airlifted to an out-of-area hospital and remains in critical condition.As the investigation continued, authorities later found four deceased victims in a nearby home.Solet was previously arrested in connection with a 2019 stabbing in Houma.…

Two people were arrested in San Fransico while riding around in a Waymo robotaxi after the cab pulled over and called the cops on them. The riders were juveniles in possession of a loaded AR-style ghost gun and were taken to a juvenile hall. While the police report did not specify who was operating the autonomous car, Waymo later confirmed it was one of its vehicles to the Los Angeles Times.A spokesperson told the LA Times that a “violation of our terms of service involving a firearm” was detected.
