The Benue State Governor, Rev Fr Hyaccinth Alia, has stated that his developmental projects would enhance his re election comes 2027.
Speaking through his Chief Press Secretary, Kula Tersoo, in a statement issued on Sunday, the governor declared that he was not perturbed by the opposition tantrums.
The governor mentioned the recent Memorandum of Understanding with Hudson Global Ltd, which is expected to attract a $5bn investment as part of his administration’s efforts to transform the state’s economic landscape.
He also highlighted various infrastructural projects ongoing in the state, including roads, industries, improved welfare for the workforce, care for senior citizens and billions of naira in investments.
The statement read, “The growing confidence in Benue’s economic prospects is not accidental.
Just a few days ago, the state government signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Hudson Global Ltd to attract a $5bn investment aimed at transforming Benue’s economic landscape.
“The difference is also visible in the everyday lives of the people. The construction of rural and urban roads, consistent payment of salaries and gratuities, and the establishment of the Food Basket Bakery are among the achievements that cannot be hidden.”
The governor asked the opposition to stop engaging in political distractions but to allow him to focus on governance, stating that his administration had brought greater accountability and transparency to the management of the state.
“This is evidenced by certifications and recognitions from reputable international audit firms. He has also restored Benue to creditworthy status and created a safer and more credible environment for investment,” the statement read.
