Two weeks ago, Kylie Minogue earned a new No. 1 on several charts in the United Kingdom. The Australian pop superstar found her way back to the summit of the Official Physical Singles chart – which ranks the bestselling tracks of any style available on physical formats such as CD, cassette and vinyl, all of which have become collectible and popular once again – alongside Madonna as the pair reworked the Queen of Pop’s “Love Sensation.” That tune, taken from her recently released album Confessions II, suddenly became a bestselling duet.
“Love Sensation” slowly began to step down after reaching No. 1 once it involved a pair of superstars. Now, less than a month later, Minogue scores yet another ruler — and reaches a milestone in the process — on the same register.
Kylie Minogue Debuts at No. 1 on Two Charts
“These Alarms,” Minogue’s recently-shared collaboration with rock band Snow Patrol, debuts at No. 1 on multiple U.K. tallies. Following its release on wax, the tune starts atop both the Official Physical Singles and Official Vinyl Singles charts.
Kylie Minogue Reaches 20 No. 1 Hits
“These Alarms” brings Minogue to a milestone 20 No. 1s on the Official Physical Singles chart, which must rank as one of the greatest accumulations of champions among all acts. Her four most recent debuts on the tally have all led the charge. That run includes the aforementioned “Love Sensation,” as well as “Xmas” and “Last Night I Dreamt I Fell in Love,” a collaboration with producer Alok.

Kylie Minogue Earns Her Eleventh Vinyl Chart No. 1
The Grammy winner has scored about half as many leaders on the Official Vinyl Singles chart. “These Alarms” becomes Minogue’s eleventh No. 1 on that list, and while she has not earned as many champions on that list as on the slightly broader physical tally, her recent track record is remarkable.
“These Alarms” is Minogue’s sixth consecutive No. 1 on the Official Vinyl Singles ranking. “Xmas” and “Last Night I Dreamt I Fell in Love” both conquered the roster, as did her own “My Oh My” and “Lights Camera Action,” as well as “Edge of Saturday Night,” her collaboration with producer The Blessed Madonna.

“These Alarms” also returns to another pair of purchase-focused rankings, and on one of them, it reaches No. 1 for the first time. Thanks to its physical release, the collaboration reenters the Official Singles Sales chart at the summit, becoming Minogue’s seventh leader on that tally.
The smash simultaneously breaks back onto the Official Singles Downloads chart, though it does not come close to first place on that list. “These Alarms” returns at No. 37, making that roster the only one of the four rankings where the song misses not only the throne, but the top 10 entirely.

Snow Patrol Scores Its First No. 1 Hits
As “These Alarms” debuts, Snow Patrol doubles its career placements on the Official Vinyl Singles chart and reaches No. 1 for the first time. “Don’t Give In” earned the band its initial appearance when it peaked at No. 17 back in 2018.
The group also conquers both the Official Physical Singles and Official Singles Sales charts for the first time with “These Alarms.” The track gives Snow Patrol its first top 10 on the broader sales ranking and becomes the band’s fifth tune to break into the top 10 on the Official Physical Singles tally.
Kylie Minogue Fills Three Spaces on One Chart
Minogue occupies three spaces on the Official Physical Singles chart this week. As “These Alarms” opens at No. 1, “Love Sensation” drops to No. 4 after dipping to second place last time around. “Xmas” also returns, landing much lower at No. 66.
“Xmas” appears on only that one ranking this frame, while “Love Sensation” can also be found on the Official Singles Sales and Official Singles Downloads charts. The Madonna collaboration declines dramatically on both rundowns, falling to Nos. 32 and 61, respectively.
