The board’s Deputy Commander-General (DCG), Mujahid Aminuddeen, announced the decision via a WhatsApp message on Thursday, The Punch reported. Mr Aminuddeen said the board introduced the measure to preserve public morality and promote adherence to Islamic values. Gabon international striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has joined Spanish club Deportivo La Coruna from Marseille on a contract until 2028, the promoted La Liga side announced Friday. Aubameyang, who still had a year remaining on his contract with the Ligue 1 club, leaves after playing 92 matches and scoring 44 goals. The federal government has launched development programmes valued at more than $1.07 billion to strengthen primary healthcare, improve governance and education, and accelerate poverty reduction as part of its economic recovery agenda. Researchers at King’s College London have identified a promising new strategy for tackling Alzheimer’s disease by targeting several of the disease’s earliest biological changes at the same time. Their study found that KCL-286, an experimental drug originally developed for spinal cord injury that has already passed Phase 1 safety trials, reduced multiple hallmarks of Alzheimer’s in a mouse model. “KCL-286 is a first-in-class, orally bioavailable small molecule that has already successfully cleared Phase 1 human safety and tolerability trials.
