I was that kid who put ketchup on everything, from fries to french toast, and if my parents wanted me to eat vegetables, they’d have to cover them in the stuff (the sugar cravings of my youth have subsided, but I still love ketchup mixed into peas). So I was pleasantly surprised by this test group, because even the most economical sauces performed well.Tomato content varied greatly (though not always in line with price), with the most tomato-heavy products containing almost twice as much fruit as the least. This information is presented in two ways: the first is the amount…

Pregnancy often comes with questions about what women can and cannot safely do, particularly when it comes to sexual activity. For some couples, pregnancy may create fears that sex could harm the baby or trigger complications. Others may assume that once a woman becomes pregnant, all forms of sexual activity should stop. But medical guidance suggests that pregnancy itself is not a reason to stop having sex. The American College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (ACOG) says most sexual activity is safe for women with healthy pregnancies, noting that the amniotic sac and strong muscles of the uterus protect the developing…

The Federal Government has approved the next phase of Nigeria’s plan to expand its satellite capacity with the acquisition and deployment of NIGCOMSAT-2A and NIGCOMSAT-2B. NIGCOMSAT said the new satellites will provide additional capacity for broadband internet, broadcasting, business communications and government services. Aisha* once relied on free antiretroviral therapy (ART) from a clinic in Maiduguri, north-eastern Nigeria, funded through the US President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) programme. The treatment kept the HIV in her body suppressed. That changed when US President Donald Trump ordered a halt to PEPFAR funding in January 2025. “When I went to the facility and was told the drugs were no longer available for free, my heart sank because I couldn’t afford to pay for them out of pocket,” Aisha* told SciDev.Net. Although PEPFAR partially resumed its activities in February 2025, the programme was subject to…

Brown had objected to the request, but the judge overruled the objection. It remains unclear whether Brown will seek reconsideration of the decision or file an appeal. The ruling follows a jury’s decision earlier…
