The National Aviation Stakeholders Forum (NASF) has called for the resignation of the Director-General of the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), Capt. The Plateau State Police Command has detained an officer accused of shooting an unarmed trader in the leg at a checkpoint in Riyom Local Government Area of the state. According to a report by Daily Trust, the incident occurred on 11 August when the trader, identified as Danladi, was stopped at a checkpoint while transporting vegetables to the South-east. Suspected armed attackers have reportedly killed some and injured others after invading communities in the Ukum Local Government Area of Benue State.
