This final trailer focuses on how Peter/Spidey got here, giving us a few highlights from the prior trilogy—including the tearful farewell between Peter and MJ, in which he vows to come find her. But when he does track MJ down,…

Hugh Freeze spent three years at Auburn searching for an answer at quarterback and never found one. That shortcoming was a big part of his demise. When Alex Golesh was hired to replace Freeze at the end of last season, his first major move was to bring his quarterback from South Florida with him to the Plains. Byrum Brown represents a different kind of quarterback situation than the ones Auburn has dealt with in recent years. Brown has no experience at the Power Four level, but he arrives as one of the most accomplished Group of Six quarterbacks in the…
Afrilition sets out a critical pathway towards African excellence… Afrilition is about a systemic realisation of Africa as a global community that exemplifies diversity and alignment, not in competition or comparison with other peoples or parts of world, but focused on the authentic evolution of its own possibilities and purposes. My new book, Afrilition: 21st Century African Manifesto got released and put on Amazon on the 14th of July. It is a reflection of a lifetime of understanding the meaning of Africa that matters to and excites me. The late US commentator and media pioneer, Tony Brown, who also hosted…

The US defense secretary, Pete Hegseth, walked into the Senate on Tuesday to defend the Trump administration’s $87.6bn supplemental funding request, facing lawmakers furious that the US-Israel war on Iran is costing far more than the White House has admitted.Hegseth and the chair of the joint chiefs, Gen Dan Caine, faced the Senate appropriations committee, chaired by Susan Collins of Maine, as the Pentagon said it was running low on cash to keep the fight going. Of the total request, $67.1bn of the request is earmarked specifically to keep the war effort funded. It was the pair’s first sustained public questioning…
Kazakhstan has stopped sending oil through a pipeline to a key Russian export terminal on the Black Sea following Ukrainian attacks on tankers planning to load there. The Caspian Pipeline Consortium ordinarily transports more than a million barrels a day from Kazakhstan’s oilfields, or about 80 per cent of its total output, to waiting ships at the port of Novorossiysk. The landlocked country relies on this route for most of its oil exports. But a spate of attacks this month has deterred ships from sailing to the marine terminal, causing the CPC’s operators to shut in operations, according to three oil…

Following the shortlisting of 89 candidates for the conferment of the prestigious rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria for the 2026 exercise, analysts are calling on the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun, to sanitise the selection process to restore the rank’s dwindling glory, Davidson Iriekpen writes.
