A woman has lived with a pig kidney for more than nine months without needing dialysis, a record-setting achievement.The woman underwent the operation at Massachusetts General Hospital on November 22 last year. President Bola Tinubu has welcomed the planned launch of the African Credit Rating Agency (AfCRA), saying Africa needs financial institutions that better understand the continent’s economies and risks. The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) says 20 million children aged 12 to 17 across 21 countries experienced technology-facilitated sexual exploitation. UNICEF disclosed this in a report released on Thursday, revealing that one in five children in the age group was affected. Nearly 60 per cent of recorded cases occurred on social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok and WhatsApp. The report said more than 15 million children were exposed to unwanted sexual content, while nine million were pressured into sexual conversations or sharing images.
