Sheikh Sani Yahaya Jingir There have been calls for the prosecution of both Jingir and Fadahunsi. Unlikely as that eventuality may be, let us at least do what grown-ups do: introspect. The ultimate test of an elder’s relevance is not how much religious divisiveness or political violence he can incite but how he inspires the younger generation — permit me to paraphrase Oscar Hammerstein II — to climb every mountain, ford every stream, and follow every rainbow till they find their dream. Anyone against the universal brotherhood of humankind and the secularism of multicultural Nigeria is an infidel. So is…
President Donald Trump has said the US will “substantially reduce” joint military exercises with South Korea, citing his “very good relationship” with North Korea’s leader Kim Jong Un.He also noted on Truth Social that South Korea had recently declined to join the US in the “denuclearisation” of Iran.”These exercises are not only costly, with much of these costs paid for by the United States of America (as usual!), but send a signal that is totally inappropriate and hostile,” Trump posted.Seoul said the drills with the US would proceed “as scheduled”. Pyongyang has not yet commented. It comes after North Korea…

“Breakups are… tough.”It’s the opening lines of an interlude towards the end of DOOMED! Called “It Happens in Every Universe.” It’s also basically the thesis of the entire record. It’s no grand revelation, but it’s a well-trodden subject that Open Mike Eagle manages to mine for artistic gold.Eagle’s subject matter is usually personal, and his productions tinged with nostalgia. But DOOMED! is his most intimate album yet. A lot of that is due to the production from Kenny Segal. The two have traveled in the same orbit and worked together before, but this is the first full-length album release from…

Arise today and step out of the Egyptian cycle of endless, fruitless toil. Take up your yoke, learn the mechanics of the Kingdom, build the structures required to support the blessing, and watch the Lord of the Sabbath transform your regular labour into an enduring, multi-dimensional season of supernatural rest. Contemporary Believers Who Took Responsibility and Found Rest The Corporate Turnaround Architect Consider the story of a senior executive named David, who was appointed as the CEO of a failing manufacturing conglomerate. The company was deeply in debt, labor unions were striking, and market share was evaporating. David spent his…
Doncaster-born golfer Jack Whaley defeated American Jay Leng Jr in a gruelling 36-hole final on Sunday to win the US Amateur Championship and book his place at The Open next year. After making the final at Merion Golf Club, Whaley had already secured himself a spot at The Masters and the US Open, but his 4&3 win has now also earned him a place at St Andrews next summer. The victory also makes him only the third English golfer to win the tournament after Matt Fitzpatrick claimed victory at The Country Club in Brookline, Massachusetts, in 2013, while Harold Hilton won…

Big Tech’s data centre building boom could create a huge new source of carbon emissions as the surging demand for electricity sparks a wave of fossil-fuel power plants, despite companies’ climate commitments. An FT analysis of 60 of the largest planned data centres being built in the US by Amazon, Microsoft, Google and Meta found that they could together produce 101.5mn tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions a year once fully operational, based on the most recent snapshot of US power generation. That would be equivalent to about 7 per cent of US power-sector emissions in 2025 — the annual emissions of…
