On a quiet street in New York City’s Ridgewood neighborhood stands an unassuming, windowless white building. Its lone door, covered with an amalgamation of cut-outs, looks like a teenager’s bedroom; the building numbers are displayed via peeling stickers above it. But if you look closely, herein lies Low Cinema, an indie movie theater which boasts just 42 seats and thrives on being lo-fi.“We need to bring back theaters that are the size of porno theaters but don’t necessarily play pornographic films,” cracks owner John Wilson, who is best known as the host of HBO Max’s popular How To with John…

The European Central Bank is in a “good position” following an interest-rate hike last month and data showing inflation has eased with the slump in oil prices, Governing Council member Emmanuel Moulin said on Saturday.

Despite my initial skepticism, I’m now sold on wireless Qi chargers that add integrated fans to keep your phone cool while charging. I figured they’d be too loud, or too weak, or too gimmicky, but I’m a convert after spending a week with the new $59.99 Kuxiu D5 Qi2.2 charging dock. Its active cooling system has kept my phone from heating up, unlike every other Qi charger I’ve tried. Good thing, given my own history with an overheating phone.Last year I fried the logic board on my titanium iPhone 15 Pro. I was on a sweltering train and trying to…
