The Celestial Church of Christ (CCC) has commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of Nollywood actress Temitope Osoba, amid allegations involving her fiancé and one of its Shepherds, Prophet Itunu Onadeko. The church said it was particularly concerned that allegations involving Mr Onadeko had drawn its name into the controversy, describing the situation as “an extremely disgusting mess”. The CCC disclosed this in a statement issued on Wednesday amid growing public concern and conflicting accounts about the circumstances surrounding the actress’s death. Osoba, popularly known as Tope Osoba, died on 4 August at age 40, although her…
Although parmesan rind is tough, it has just as much, if not more flavour than the cheese from inside the wheel itself. It can be used just as it is to flavour stock or risi e bisi (Venetian pea risotto), but grating it opens up a whole range of other uses, such as in my mac and cheese “rinds” and today’s parmesan rind pesto. The flavour is very powerful, though, so add it to taste: you may find that you need a lot less than you think you do.Parmesan rind pestoWant to save this recipe? Download the Guardian Feast app…

Folalumi Alaran in Abuja A new generation of Nigerian design practices is challenging conventional approaches to architecture by placing intentional thinking, human experience and long-term value at the centre of development. One of such practices is NONA Creation Studio, founded by architect Collins Chukwuma and experiential designer Olutayo Osunsanya, which advocates an integrated approach to architecture, design strategy, visualisation and commercial thinking. The studio describes its approach as “Creation Intelligence,” bringing architecture, interior design, visualisation, branding and strategic thinking into a single creative process. According to the founders, many developments are still handled as separate professional services, often resulting in…
“Trump is trying to enrich himself by privatizing government information that he has no right to sell,” said Ben Muessig, The Intercept’s editor in chief. “We won’t let it stand.” Trump frequently posts official government announcements exclusively on Truth Social, including military attacks and ceasefires, the hiring and firing of agency heads, and major domestic policies, the lawsuit said. “Trump’s crooked scheme is particularly outrageous because, as documented by our Trump Anti-Press Social Media Tracker, he frequently uses his Truth Social account to berate journalists and even to announce his plans to sue them and criminally investigate them,” Stern said.…

The FedEx Cup Playoffs begin this week in Memphis with 69 players battling it out at the St. Jude Championship, with the top 50 advancing to next week’s BMW Championship. Unlike in 2025, all of the top stars will be playing in Memphis, as Rory McIlroy committed to the first playoff event field after skipping the opener last year — in part because he starts down in 12th in the standings in 2026. The only absence is Daniel Berger, who was 60th but opted not to commit to the field in Memphis. That means McIlroy, Scottie Scheffler, Cameron Young, Matt Fitzpatrick, Wyndham…

When I started shopping in vintage stores, I fell into the trap of thinking that if something wasn’t in my size there was nothing to be done. I’d still buy beautiful shirts that were huge, but never end up wearing them. I persevered with trousers that were three sizes too big and just scrunched in the waist with a belt, but it didn’t look good. Now I know that a belt is an accessory, not a necessity; it’s there to heighten the garment, not hold it up. And that’s because I have finally understood the power of tailoring. The Guardian’s journalism is independent. We will earn a commission if you buy something through an affiliate link. Learn…
