Uncertainty gripped the Haitian community in New York after the Supreme Court ruled that the Trump administration could end Temporary Protected Status.

“It breaks my heart. I have lots of my close family members that are T.P.S. holders. They’re anxious, you know, and they don’t know how they’re going to provide for their families. They have work permits that depend on T.P.S.” “The Supreme Court — it’s a wrong decision they made. Some of them, they are, like, live a terrible life when they go back, and they have to start over again, like zero.” Reporter: “Do you expect the administration to deport anyone who loses T.P.S. status as a result of this ruling?” “Of course, if you no longer have status in this country, then you’re supposed to be deported.”
