Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has spoken about her prolonged health challenges, revealing that she has endured intense pain and struggled with mobility for months.
She shared this in a video on Instagram on Saturday to celebrate her 25th birthday.
Regina, who said she was gradually recovering, also explained her lengthy absence from social media.
According to her, what began as a seemingly minor health problem deteriorated over time, leaving her unable to move around comfortably.
The mother of two said: “I know many of you may be surprised seeing me in a wheelchair. Well, welcome to another chapter of my life. Let me walk you through what my life has been since many of you have asked questions about my absence. So today is the perfect day to respond to those who genuinely care. For several months now, I have lost my freedom to move around as I please.
“It started as something minor, very minor, but eventually led to this. But things took a major turn after the last public gathering I hosted, my children’s day carnival. One test after another, I jokingly started calling myself elaborate. The pain became- how can I explain this? The pain became excruciating. Sometimes I can walk, and sometimes I can’t move. I cried.”
Healing
Regina added that she was seeking God’s peace and looking to Him for healing as she navigated this difficult period in her life.
She said her fate remained in God’s hands and questioned how her condition had left her incapacitated despite once being full of energy.

The actress also expressed concern about her growing dependence on outside help to do even the simplest tasks.

“Well, me sitting here today, in front of this camera, sharing this y’all, it’s because there’s been some really significant developments in my recovery. And I say, thank you, Lord. I decided to move somewhere closer to my loves, and most importantly, to my heart, my babies. At first, I rented this place.
“But from the moment I set foot here, I just, I just had this need to own. Now, here is the juiciest part. From the day I made a down payment on this house, everything in here came as a gift. Look at my furniture. I mean, this beautiful, timeless piece was gifted to me by an adorable woman who a very special somebody introduced me to. My hairstylist, Ellie.”
Backstory
The actress described this year as one marked by God’s abundant blessings, expressing gratitude for what He had done in her life and what He was yet to accomplish.
“In any situation I find myself, I will continuously give all glory and adoration to God Almighty for what He’s done in my life, what He’s doing, and what He’s yet to do. So help me, God.”
In May, Regina dismissed the possibility of remarrying following the collapse of her marriage to Ned Nwoko, the senator representing Delta North.
PREMIUM TIMES reported that the actress and Mr Nwoko dominated public discourse between October 2025 and early 2026 amid allegations of drug abuse, domestic violence and other related claims.
Since the former couple threatened legal action against each other, neither has shared much about their relationship or family life, including issues concerning their children.
However, Regina’s mother, Rita Daniels, recently dismissed online reports that the actress had reconciled with the lawmaker.
