The candidate of the Accord Party, Ademola Adeleke, is set to be declared the winner of the Osun State governorship election held on Saturday.
The final results of the 30 local government areas were announced by INEC officials at the INEC headquarters in Osogbo, the Osun State capital.
Although a final tally of the results is still being done as of the time of this report, a PREMIUM TIMES review of the declared results shows that Mr Adeleke has over 50,000 more votes than his closest challenger, Bola Oyebamiji.
The incumbent governor also won in a majority of the state’s 30 local government areas.
